Merry Christmas from the Secondary School Science Club. In our last Science Club of the year we made the littlest Christmas trees of pure silver!

Copper metal was used to displace the silver from silver nitrate. What you see here are images taken through microscopes of minute silver crystals forming as fractals, to make the tiniest trees ever. These “branches” are too small to be seen with the naked eye.
