When a student is applying to the American Academy, they will be invited for an entry interview that allows the headmaster to add a personal dimension to the application. Parents and students are invited to meet with the headmaster to discuss the academic curriculum and the student’s aspirations for their future learning plans.

Unlike exams and tests, you cannot fail the interview. The interview allows the parents, students and school staff to form proper introductions. Parents are informed about school procedures and how they can take an active role in their children’s educations, while at the same time we learn something about you and your child.

Below are potential questions the principal will ask prospective students.

What do you read outside school?
Tell me a bit about your family.
Tell me about what you do outside school.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
