Application and Registration Fees

New Students
The application and registration fee for each new student is €250.

Existing Students
The deposit for each returning student will go toward their cost of tuition.

Registration Fee – €100 per student
Deposit Fee – €400 per student

The school reserves the right to offer the place of an existing student to candidates on the waiting list in the case of non-registration by May 1st.

Miscellaneous items that may be purchased apart from tuition and fees include: Uniforms, books, student pictures and books, yearbooks and certain excursions.

All services are paid in advance on a yearly, termly or monthly basis. For students who stay in the afternoon and/or eat lunch periodically, there is a €20 fee including lunch, per child, per day with a notice of 3 days. 

Payment Options

We offer families three methods to pay their tuition and fees:

  • Yearly Payment
    This payment plan rewards a 3% discount if the tuition and fees are settled before the 1st of September.
  • Three Instalments Payment Plan 
    Instalment due dates are – September 1st, December 1st and March 1st.
  • Monthly Payment Plan
    Monthly payments plans are available. Payments can be made with SO or by credit/debit card and the American Academy charges a convenience fee of €50 for a monthly payment plan. Monthly payment  agreements must be made through the Accounts department.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Parents are reminded that a full-terms written notice must be given to their principal stating their intention to withdraw from a class or school during the academic year. If no written notice is presented to the Principal, this will result in the compulsory charge for the following academic term. If the student has not completed class requirements, he/she will be assigned an F as a final grade too.
Once enrolled and accepted, students that withdraw between September 1st, and the last day of the school year will be imposed a withdrawal fee of €500. Deposits and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

School records and transcripts may be held until all balances have been paid in full.


  • Advance Payment Discount – 3% tuition discount only applies if tuition and fees are paid in full on or before June 1st.
  • Brother/Sister Discount – Families with two or more children will receive a tuition discount for each child as follows.
    (Student in the highest grade level is considered the first child). Discounts are subtracted from the 3rd term.
    2nd Child – 5%   |  3rd child – 10%
  • Alumni Discount – To qualify for the 5% discount at least one parent must have graduated from American Academy after attending for at least three years in the Secondary School. Only one child per alumni.
