On the weekend of 22–23 February, after an intense series of races—including a continental knockout round and a high-stakes semifinal—we are thrilled to announce that our student, Tristan Michaelides, achieved an extraordinary 2nd place at the World Rowing Indoor Championships in the U17 2000m Singles event, out of 53 international competitors!
Tristan not only secured the Silver Medal, but also set a new personal best of 6:21.9—a time that ranks him 36th in the world in the Open Men’s Category, an outstanding feat for a U17 athlete. Remarkably, only two other U17 rowers made it into the global top 50.
However, the achievements didn’t stop there! Just minutes after claiming silver, Tristan joined his teammates to compete in the U17 Sprint Relay—where they powered through to win the Bronze Medal, clocking an incredible 5:47.3, missing silver by less than 2 seconds!
We are immensely proud of Tristan and his team. Their dedication, discipline, and drive are truly inspirational.
World Stage Success for Tristan Michaelides!

On the 4th of April, students from Romania joined our Class 3 students who participated in the SCYience competition at the Cyprus Institute. The Romanian students who visited the American Academy Limassol, as part of an Erasmus project, thoroughly enjoyed presenting our sustainable Eco Garden together with our students. The whole experience was rewarding for both groups as lasting friendships were formed.

We were thrilled to welcome two graduates from Newcastle University, UK, who visited our school upon invitation to deliver a dynamic and practical workshop for our Class 3 Secondary students.
The session focused on strengthening their understanding of fractions, percentages, decimals, perimeter, surface area, and volume—all brought to life through real-world applications.
A big thank you to Mr Tom and Mr Theo, who also introduced our students to currency conversion using hands-on, relatable scenarios.
It’s not every day we get the chance to host guest teachers from the UK—what a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn in such an engaging, inspiring way!

“Every Voice Matters” – Year 5 Human Rights Assembly
Our Year 5 students presented a powerful and thoughtful assembly titled “Every Voice Matters”, celebrating the importance of human rights, fairness, and equality for all. Through script, speeches, and songs, they explored a world with and without rights, highlighted the value of education, safety, freedom, and respect and reminded us that every person deserves to be treated with dignity.
The purpose of the assembly was to educate, empower, and inspire —showing that even young voices can stand up for justice and make a difference in the world.
Let’s stand up for human rights – Today and Always!”
