I am very honoured to have been accepted into the summer internship at AVVA Pharmaceuticals, that will take place over the course of two weeks in June. It is a great pleasure to gain hands-on experience with the help of skilled professionals. I strongly believe that this unique experience will allow me not only to learn more about the details of the career path I want to pursue, but also familiarise me with state-of-the-art technologies used in the clinical laboratories all over the world. A huge thank you to American Academy Private Limassol for hosting an incredible event focused on navigating the world of IGCSEs! It was fantastic to see staff members, parents, and students come together to explore this important aspect of education. Special appreciation to our students Denis, Grace, Despina, and Alexa for sharing their invaluable experiences with us.
For those who may not be familiar, IGCSEs (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) are internationally recognized qualifications typically taken by students at the end of secondary school. When choosing your IGCSE subjects, it’s crucial to consider various factors:
1. **Interest and Passion:** Select subjects that align with your interests and future goals. Pursuing subjects you’re passionate about can lead to greater engagement and success.
2. **Career Aspirations:** Think about your desired career path and choose subjects that will support your future academic and professional endeavors.
3. **Strengths and Weaknesses:** Assess your strengths and weaknesses in different subjects to ensure a balanced and manageable workload.
4. **University Requirements:** Research the entry requirements of universities or colleges you’re interested in attending, as they may have specific subject prerequisites.
5. **Long-Term Impact:** Consider the long-term implications of your subject choices, including how they may influence further education or career opportunities.
Thank you once again to everyone who participated in the event, and here’s to making informed decisions for a bright academic future!

Being accepted into a summer internship programme for three week feels like a monumental achievement, especially considering how challenging it was to secure the spot. The recruitment process was incredibly short, a testament to the high level of skills and qualifications required. The internship will take place at Deloitte for their She.Can.Internship programme. As a student of American Academy i am very proud to announce that this not only will provide me the opportunity to immerse myself in hands-on learning but also to absorb as much knowledge as possible, as its a chance to gain real-world experience, expand my skills and network with professionals in my field. This internship isn’t just a job for the summer; it’s a big step towards my future career goals. I’m enthusiastic about the journey ahead and committed to making the most of every moment, seizing every chance for growth and development.
