At our primary school, we celebrated Tsiknopemti, giving the children the opportunity to learn about this special day and the traditions celebrated in Cyprus. They were introduced to local customs, traditional dances, and they participated in a variety of traditional games such as mantili and sakoulodromies.
The children also enjoyed tasting traditional foods, including grilled meat, loukoumades, and pourekia.
It was a very enjoyable and meaningful day for everyone involved.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing Key Club members who demonstrated true environmental responsibility and community spirit by helping to replant areas devastated by last year’s wildfires in Limassol.

Through their dedication and teamwork, our students contributed to restoring the natural beauty of our local environment. Not only did they help plant new trees and greenery, but they also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of caring for our planet.

It was a meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone involved. Our Key Club members had a wonderful time working together outdoors, knowing they were making a real difference for our local community.

We are incredibly proud of their effort, enthusiasm, and commitment to positive change!

Primary school Year 2K pupils proudly completed a school project about Queen Elizabeth II, discovering the story of a woman who became one of the most important figures in British history.

At the beginning of the project, the pupils learned about Queen Elizabeth II’s early life. They found out that she was born into a royal family and became queen when she was still very young. The children were amazed to learn that she ruled for many years and dedicated her whole life to serving her country. They talked about what it must have been like to grow up as a princess and suddenly have the responsibility of becoming queen.

Next, the pupils explored the Queen’s responsibilities. They learned that the Queen did not make laws, but she played an important role in representing the United Kingdom. She met people from all over the world, welcomed visitors to her palace, and took part in special ceremonies. The children especially enjoyed learning about traditions such as the Changing of the Guard and royal celebrations.

During the project, the pupils also discussed why Queen Elizabeth II is so important in British history. They learned that she was a symbol of stability and kindness during many changes in the world. Through stories, pictures, and classroom activities, the children understood that the Queen worked hard to bring people together and to serve her country with respect and dignity.

By the end of the project, Year 2K pupils shared what they had learned through drawings, short texts, and class discussions. They were proud of their work and excited to show how much they had discovered about Queen Elizabeth II. The project helped them understand history in a fun and meaningful way and taught them that even one person can make a big difference through dedication and service.
