Our primary Greek Department students proudly celebrated Cyprus’ Independence Day 1960 and the historic ‘OXI’ Day of October 28th 1940, honoring courage, freedom, and tradition with pride and joy!!

Our amazing Class 7 organized a fantastic Halloween party — and what a night it was!
Everyone came dressed in their best costumes, played exciting games, danced the night away, and had an unforgettable time!

Our Secondary School teachers have successfully completed the rigorous Teachers’ Bootcamp by Junior Achievement Cyprus! We are now equipped with new, experiential methods to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and teamwork in our students. Today we proudly recognize our student, Maria Bargili, for her outstanding academic achievement. Maria has been awarded the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award for GCSE Physics in the October/November exam series — achieving the highest subject mark in Europe!
She stands out among over 2,100 learners from 740 schools across 85 countries worldwide, an incredible accomplishment that reflects her dedication, perseverance, and brilliance.

Outstanding Pearson Learner Award for GCSE Physics
Our classrooms turned into haunted halls and our students into witches, ghosts, and superheroes!  From spooky decorations to frightfully fun games, laughter echoed louder than the ghostly howls.

At the American Academy, we believe that education goes beyond academics. We are committed to nurturing our students’ personal growth and equipping them with essential life skills.
Today, our Class 7 students successfully completed their First Aid training, conducted by the School of Chironas.
They thoroughly enjoyed the session and found it both engaging and valuable. We are incredibly proud of our students for their enthusiasm and dedication to learning skills that can make a real difference.
We’re proud of our students who joined the Summer School in Mathematical Sciences at Newcastle University. After a full schedule of lectures and practical lab work, many students also completed online extension projects. Certificates were awarded to all participants – great job, everyone!
Looking ahead, Newcastle University plans to welcome our students again in June 2026 (dates TBC), with limited places for Class 5 and Class 6. It’s a welcoming way to experience UK university life, deepen STEM learning within the British curriculum, and build confidence for future studies.
Our school proudly celebrated Ochi Day, honouring the courage and resilience shown on 28th October, a significant day in Cyprus and Greek history. Our students marked the occasion with heartfelt performances, music, and dance, reflecting unity and national pride.
