We Walk for a Reason

American Academy Limassol is proud to support the 18th Annual Charity Walk – “I’d Rather Walk Than Drink and Drive”, organised by the Dr. Yiota Demetriou Dancing Queen Foundation.
This cause holds a particularly special place in our hearts, as Dr. Yiota Demetriou was a former student of American Academy Limassol. Her life was tragically cut short by a drunk driver, but her legacy continues through the Foundation established in her memory, supporting children in need of psychological, educational and physical assistance.
We invite our students, parents, staff and wider school community to come together, honour Yiota’s memory and raise awareness of the devastating consequences of drink-driving.
