Our biology lesson where Class 6 observed cells under a microscope. They extracted their own cheek cells from their mouths, stained them with methylene blue and observed them under a light microscope. Then they drew them, labelled them and explained the different structures which they observed. Other specimens of both plant and animals cells were also observed e.g. plant stems and vascular bundles, cardiac muscle cells and epithelium lining.

Our hands on approach, enables our students to learn how to use and calibrate the eyepiece scale graticule, as well as to magnify objects and visualize structures that are in reality microscopic to the human naked eye!
