American Academy

Our students had a great time visiting Newcastle University for the Summer School in STEM. They toured the campus and attended lectures in Math, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science. This trip helped them learn more about university life and STEM careers, guiding them in choosing their future studies and jobs.

Our school is dedicated to embracing neurodiversity and fostering a more inclusive and compassionate environment by promoting understanding and raising awareness of students’ differences.
As part of our ongoing effort to raise awareness, our students had the opportunity to engage in an immersive lesson on neurodivergence which sparked insightful discussions and allowed students to enter a competition that showcased their unique perspectives through creative projects.
We are proud to announce that the best two projects were a song belonging to Gavriella Hadjidamianou of 2A, who won 1st place, and a painting belonging to Amber Fryett also of 2A, who won 2nd place. The winners received generous gift certificates from «Public» as well as House Points. Noteworthy mentions: Maritina Leonidou of 2A, and Emily Nusinov of 5A.

Our Year 3 primary school students got inspired by their class reader «The Hodgeheg» by Dick King-Smith and prepared some lovely 3D projects. They even took part in a competition within their year group. Well done to all the kids.
