Following our successful sports day at Tsireio Stadium, the PE department arranged basketball and football games. The Junior Boys’ Football Team played Foleys while the Junior Girls’ Basketball Team also played Foleys. The girls team performed very well and won but unfortunately the boys football team lost. This was their first game, so they will get stronger as the year progresses, but we are proud of their participation.

Our Senior Boys’ Basketball Team went to the B Technical School and played against their Senior Team. The home team was very welcoming and a great atmosphere was maintained throughout the game. Our senior boys were successful and won. Our Junior Boys’ Basketball Team played Foleys, a close game, but didn’t win.

Well done to everyone that took part in any of the teams. We will be organising a lot more games as the year progresses and look forward to excellent sportsmanship.

The Royal Commonwealth Society Cyprus Branch honoured our 32 students who achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition on Friday 6th December at the University of Nicosia. Our students were congratulated by prominent Doctors, Professors and His Excellency, the British High Commissioner of Cyprus. The 2024 competition received over 40 000 entries internationally and our students’ performance was second to none! We are so proud of their outstanding achievement.

Class 5 students organised weekly bake sales over the past 4 weeks and raised an amount of €1600! On the 5th December they visited a boy suffering from blood cancer as well as tumours. At the boy’s house our students also gave him a card which had positive wishes for his operation from students and teachers. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing cause. Congratulations to our Class 5 students who sold home-made goodies to raise the money for the young boy. You are all amazing!

We are overjoyed to share the amazing news that on November 29th, our Year 6 classes were treated to a truly unforgettable experience! Peter Chand, one of Europe’s most celebrated storytellers and educators, joined forces with the wonderful Kirsten Milliken for a vibrant storytelling session that left our students spellbound.

Through their lively and imaginative narratives, Peter and Kirsten brought to life enchanting folktales from India and Scotland, taking us on a cultural journey that celebrated the rich traditions of oral storytelling. The room was filled with curiosity, laughter, and wonder as our students discovered the magic of storytelling and the beauty of diverse cultures.

This extraordinary event was made possible in collaboration with Technodromio, the non-profit organization behind the inspiring 11th Cyprus Fairytale Festival. We are grateful for their efforts in fostering creativity and cultural exchange.
